“My recent visit to The Hatchet Inn revealed a surprisingly comfortable and well-appointed accommodation above a lively Wetherspoon's pub. The rooms themselves, especially the cottage option, presented a quaint yet functional escape with thoughtful touches like ample tea and biscuits, and impressively strong showers. It strikes me as a place offering exceptional value, particularly given its central Newbury location and the genuinely amiable staff.”
